In our lives, we often follow a continuous path forward. Constantly pushing, striving, and asking ourselves what the next step should be – what the next “thing” is to accomplish.

What is often missed on this continuous path to accomplishment is a key step: Unwinding. To literally pause and become empty.

I have arrived on my summer tour “Revolutionizing Intimacy” in Vancouver BC. Today is my first full day after arriving in last night. Summers in Vancouver have been this intentional space where I come to empty and pause. The outcome is a whole lot of creativity that appears in abundant waves once I have the space and capacity to accept it.

Last year, I wrote 8 blog articles in the most clear and precise ways. A sense of joy returns to me. My nervous system at ease. There is more vitality, centeredness and peace around me. The brilliance of unwinding is having the ability to feel joy anytime we choose!

How exciting to know unwinding and pausing is a choice everyone has within reach.

You are able to set time and space aside. You begin to create boundaries and needs around this unwinding pausing experience. What is the environment that will support your stillness? Is it the time of year or maybe the time of day? What logistics may need to be taken care of in the prior days or months so that you have the space for this process of being? For me, I spent the months prior to this trip gathering a team, training them, and making sure they had everything they needed in place to represent my business while I was away. I placed an ad and found a person to sublet my home.

There is an unwinding process that happens when we stop spinning in the same continued one-direction forward motion.

Imagine a spinning top. Eventually when turned too far in one direction will get tight and won’t go any further. The only way to continue is to pause, let go, and allow it to spin in the other direction. This creates an unraveling process. In a way, it is freeing up energy and making space. Once it is unwound, empty in a sense, the top pauses again. Now it may be again.

Allowing the pause and spinning the other direction is all the creative ideas, energy, breath and conscious actions coming through. Imagine you were this top. Imagine you have been rung out. The mind, body, energy body and spirit have been cleared of stagnation, old remnants of stress, stories, emotional overload, and ideas. You have now created new space and more capacity for all the experiences that want to come through you and be expressed in the world.

My personal unraveling process which Vancouver, BC has held for me year after year has awakened extreme creativity, opened up new direct downloads of ideas, manifested sparks of light, vitality and love in my body and experiences. Would we not all desire this? As heart centered, conscious entrepreneurs, it seems to be more of a responsibility. As we show up this way for ourselves there is a domino affect to showing up this way for all people we meet and serve along the way.

The more you unwind, the more tuned in, turned on and alive you will simply be. Now that is exciting!

Today is my first full day in Vancouver BC for my 2015 tour and it is only 10:25 AM. I slept in until 8:00 AM, ate breakfast, meditated under a tree, and have been creatively writing ever since. If that is what happens in the first 90 minutes with 5 weeks ahead of me, I can only imagine the infinite possibilities.
